Crispy Fried Prawn Tempura with Zesty Mayo
Malaysian-style Fried Tempura with Sweet Chili Mayo Sauce Recipe

INGREDIENTS
- 10 large prawns, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup cold water
- Oil for frying
- 1/2 cup JAGUNG BRAND mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon JAGUNG BRAND chilli sauce
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together egg and cold water.
- Pour the egg mixture into the flour mixture and stir until just combined.
- Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat.
- Dip the prawns into the batter, making sure to coat them evenly.
- Fry the battered prawns until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, chilli sauce, lime juice, and soy sauce to make the sauce.
- Serve the fried prawn tempura with the mayo and chilli sauce on the side.
